cyro: if this is true that chdk overrides everything as long as its activated, so also the settings in auto mode, then it's not so good news - as there are times when you need to take a quick picture of something, without having the time to make manual settings, and for this the fact that camera makes its own automatic settings in "auto" mode was very handy.
i do hope that chdk doesnt override settings when camera is in "auto" mode though....
