My SX100 1.00b works well, with all options. I don't understand why yours doesn't... Did you try last CHDK ? (zSHARE - sx100is_100b_484_beta.zip)
oh sorry for missreporting that the 1.00b is really broken but for me it is.. I had everything working with 1.00c then my camera broke and got replaced with one running 1.00b and I've had problems with changing the values of shutter speed, aperture ever since. I've tried every 1.00b sx100is build i could find. Also I've formatted my memory card to make sure there weren't any settings left behind for 1.00c being loaded to 1.00b.
I think Auto works fine but when I use AV i get this
so the little arrows are there to indicate a value will be changed when i move the wheel but they are highlighting nothing changes when i hit +/- F2.8 highlights and I can modify that value, when i hit +/- again it goes back to highlighting the blank space. Without CHDK loaded and everything working properly it alternates between the aperture(f2.8 ) and exposure compensation(+/-0) options.
Here's a screenshot of manual mode
Here without CHDK +/- will switch between the shutter speed and aperture values however when I load any chdk for my camera it was highlighting aperture and i could change that value but when i hit +/- it brought up the exposure compensation menu and i could not modify that(this menu usually doesn't show in manual mode).
After taking the screenshot i rebooted the camera with chdk and now no option is highlighted with the arrows and the wheel doesn't change anything.
I know there's probably nothing anybody can tell me to help out I just figured it would be good to document this issue so that it would be known if others are experiencing it.
