Did you notice that there is USBSettingMenu function in the code (TX1 ROM:FF8BC1C0).
When called it shows selection between "A" and "B". As looks like camera suuports USB host mode, I assume those are drive letters to assign to some slef powered devices connected to USB.
Calling it while in Display mode causes display of it followed by immediate crash.
While in Record mode it doesn't crash as well as nothing happens...

I'm wondering what this is used for? Did anyone try investigation of this?

This is little known feature.
A = USB High speed mode (480 Mbps, USB2.0 maximum speed), B = USB Full speed mode (12 Mbps, USB1.1 maximum speed).
For most cameras, press menu+set+print (or menu+print+set) buttons simultaneously to show this dialog.
