I am newbie, have Canon SD 1000, loaded All Best build - "xus70_sd1000-102a-0.5.5-529-full.zip".

Can not get the Zoom to work. Have reset all to default on Allbest menu. I can  zoom if  'Allbest' is bypassed  by not pressing ALT key.

On using Set + Disp key I get following information:

GM1.02A
E18

Adj Ver:006.00
ZoomLensError

===============

What am I missing here?

So.. you want to zoom in ALT mode?

That wont work anyway.

You do the override settings, script loading, bracketing settings - whatsoever related to settings - in the ALT menu. To continue normal shooting (zooming, focusing, actually taking an image) you need to leave the alt mode again.

Besides from that, your lens had an error..  it was stuck at some point. The date on which the error occur is usually written in a third line, means below the "ZoomLensError" string..
