Yeah, I wasn't sure quite what you intended. capt_seq probably isn't the place to set the initial zoom, but neither is boot. Ideally, you'd do it the first time you go into record mode (whether by booting in record mode or not). Or maybe every time you go into record mode ?

If you do it on boot, you need to figure out do you know whether you need to wait for the lens to finish unstowing before you try to set zoom ?

What I would really like is for the camera to be able to remember the last zoom setting (several other settings would be nice to be able restore too: manual focus mode+distance, and burst mode come to mind)

I'm in a hurry right now, but first quick test shows me that it's working (blue LED lit every time, no matter how quick I press the shutter). Will report after I'm back home (evening or tomorrow)

Ok, tested this build (A650) during the trip. All raws saved, with or without prefocus !
