I would appreciate knowing if the CHDK firmware is available for the Canon SuperShot A950IS.
If yes, as a beginner I would also appreciate the link to this download and a beginners step by step
tutorial on how to install and use this firmware.

I suppose you mean A 590 IS ? That camera does not support CHDK yet, but it is being worked on.
