I have an SD1100IS (PC1271 SN: 6124004970) that has firmware 1.0.0.0.  (push Func. Set and Disp)

The page at:
SD1100IS - CHDK Wiki

says CHDK is available for the SD1100IS with firmware GM1.00C and GM1.01A (all currently reported).

What do I have and is there a way to upgrade the firmware?

your fw is NOT 1.0.0.0 -> CHDK wikia-FAQ: How can I get the original firmware version number of my camera ?

The beta version with additional informations is here: SD1100/ixus 80 porting ....
