Hi,

I'm well aware that my SD870 (like all the SD series cameras) does not have a real aperture, but simulates one via a ND filter. Based on reading these forums, I've been lead to be believe that the two f-stops it mimics are f/2.8 and f/8.0.

If so, why does the canon firmware regularly show me other f-stops (such a f/5.6)?
