I turned off most of the displays because they overlap the regular displays.
    ...
Thanks to all the developers, in particular nimrod and grin.

You can customize the layout of the OSD. I just spent like an hour trying to place everything in the best location (for what I want anyway). Here's my config (back yours up and throw this in the CHDK dir on your sd card):

    http://drop.io/nimscfg

If you've only changed a couple of things then you can probably just use that as a basis, then turn some stuff off and on.

And I haven't really done much of anything yet :) Grin beat me in getting most of the work done.

After screwing around with different ways to diff these firmware images, it looks like 1.01b and 1.02b are the same until you get to 0xFFAEC9FC, after which a bunch of stuff seems to be changed with stuff inserted here and there.

    Code: [Select]
    ROM:FFAEC9FC loc_FFAEC9FC                            ; CODE XREF: sub_FFAEC760+14j
    ROM:FFAEC9FC                                         ; sub_FFAEC760+1B8j ...
    ROM:FFAEC9FC                 ADD     SP, SP, #0x1C
    ROM:FFAECA00                 LDMFD   SP!, {R4-R9,PC}
    ROM:FFAECA00 ; End of function sub_FFAEC760
    ROM:FFAECA00
    ROM:FFAECA00 ; ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
    ROM:FFAECA04 dword_FFAECA04  DCD 0x735               ; DATA XREF: sub_FFAEC6A0+18r
    ROM:FFAECA08 aMovreader_c    DCB "MovReader.c",0     ; DATA XREF: sub_FFAEC6A0+1Co
    ROM:FFAECA08                                         ; sub_FFAECCDC+20o ...

So 101b will basically be 102b with only the references, and any modified code, that comes after 0xFFAEC9FC. Anything referencing or copied from a place before 0xFFAEC9FC doesn't need to be changed from 102b.

I'll do this tomorrow unless someone beats me to it. At the moment I've stayed up a bit late screwing around with CHDK on my camera, so I better get to sleep. ZZZZZZZzzzz....

First of all congratulations and thank you for the work done!

Could you upload a chdk build for 1.02b somewhere and post a link here? For the less gifted, so that we can also test it and play around.

    Thank you again.

nimrod: don't forget that variable addresses could change too.

balamber: Grin posted it earlier in this thread.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

First of all thanks a lot.
I just bought the SX10 and wasn't expecting to get a CHDK-Build for it so fast!!

    Amazing, guys!!!

For the newbies to install the 1.02B:
Just download the test 1.02B from Grin:  http://rapidshare.de/files/47479851/sx10-102b-0.9.8.rar.html
Then get the 1.01A from the Autobuild http://mighty-hoernsche.de/ (I took the 'Complete') extract it
and replace the 'PS.FI2' and  'DISKBOOT.BIN'.
Copy the files to your card (dont'lock it), start the camera with the 'play'-button, press 'MENU', go 'up', run the firmware upgrade and you're done.
    (worked for me  :))

Thanks for all the work!  :)

Is this a firmware upgrade, or an add-on?

Hummm there is no PS.FI2 and DISKBOOT.BIN in the file "sx10-102b-sources.rar" so...

Is there a compiled version of the software 1.02b? Or... how I can compile them
