Hey I was wondering if any of you guys had an opinion about using a minisd card with an adapter for the sd1100is. I happen to have one lying around and know for a fact that the camera will save images to it. I took it out though just because i'm scared the metal on the adapter can mess up my cam some how. any thoughts?

I doubt that it would be harmful -- the adapter was constructed to go into an SD slot, so
manufacturers would expose themselves to damage claims if your cam got hurt.
I hope your adapter has a write-protect tab though, otherwise your cam won't be able
to start CHDK from it (DryOS cams can only start CHDK with the 'bootable card' method)

I use an 1 GB microsd with adapter and works fine (in case of emergency), except that is slower (3MB write speed). It affects only raw save time
