compilation of lua libs?

i'm having trouble updating a lua lib. changes simply aren't reflected in the code execution. further, the code which depends upon the lua lib can still execute after the lib is removed from the card! Is there a cached version of the lib somewhere? Otherwise i need to reformat the card which is difficult with a 4GB card and a Mac.

unless I am terribly wrong, there isn't any cached or compled version of libraries.
I would rather guess that the problem is in your Mac not writing properly to the card.
I once had this problem with a PC, where I would save a new version of the script but the actual file on the card wasn't changed.

I would try rebooting the Mac.

This is not possible. You are making a mistake somewhere.

If you look in the CHDK file browser and text file reader, is the script still there ?

edit to clarify:
What I mean by "not possible" is CHDK just loads the file from disk like any other file. It cannot run a script that isn't there.

Don't forget what the H stands for.

You'll get such a behaviour with a corrupted file system, e.g. when the card was not removed "safe"...
