Hi folks,

Ukrainian translation was completely rewritten from scratch, localized (using of more appropriate words-analogues), and tested on my A710IS (alignments, trimmings, visual appearance, etc.).

Please include it into the main trunk (see the attachment).


P.S. As I am planning to support this translation in future, please assist in obtaining SVN credentials if possible (RW access limited to Revision 547: /trunk/CHDK/LANG directory will be enough).

sorry, svn write access is not possible, as we cannot restrict certain accounts to certain directories or files. it is not possible on the assembla free svn space.

you can however just post in the forum like u did just now, or better - open a ticket in the bugtracker here My View - CHDK Bugtracker

i uploaded your lang file to the svn, so it will be included in the autobuild next time it compiles :)

Hope it will be possible to just reopen this issues in future on new request (instead of creating new ones).

I'm having some troubles changing the language on my camera.  Originally I installed CHDK on an old 512MB card with no write protection, and had no problems (except for the letter "?" which was displayed as "?"), but I didn't want to have to go through the update hastle each time I logged in.  I bought a new 2GB card and now it loads CHDK automatically, but trying to change the language doesn't do anything - everything stays in english, even though ukrainian is the only *.lng file in my LANG folder...what gives?

You are not by any chance running an old version and trying to load a new .lng ?

if you are, try downloading full version of the latest autobuild here CHDK Download - build 0.8.3, revision #593
which includes Ukranian, and do a fresh install

So, I can confirm: in latest autobuild ukrainial tranlation works fine (except a few untraslated new strings).
