this seems like a bug to me... maybe someone who knows what they're doing could change the sources so that when the camera is tilted while in picture viewing mode, it doesn't automatically quit <ALT> mode and whatever you were doing in the CHDK menu so that it can show you the current picture rotated appropriately (this can get really frustrating when you're just about to beat the next level of sokoban  :P)
