i am getting error too. got the latest version of script on this thread, fb-lib from the link here too... named the file ".lua" and checked for ANSI encoding.

My cam is a A590, CHDK version autobuild (a590-101b-0.9.8-816-full.zip). am I missing something?

Error is:
Code: [Select]
==loopcounter) then
 break end until 1==2
:1: unexpected symbol nea
r '@'
PRESS SHUTTER TO CLOSE
(the message seems to print CR+LF characters too)

thanks.

looks like you missed the start of the comment that is supposed to enclose the @ params
Your script should have --[[ at the start
Don't forget what the H stands for.

So I just found out about CHDK and decided to try it out.  I have a SD600 with firmware 1.00A.  When I run this script here is what I get:

Started
SLeeping 2 seconds
sleeping 1 seconds
(it takes a picture and then it turns off with the lens still out and thats it)

Any suggestions on what I should do?

Thanks for the script! It works perfectly on my Ixus 100 / SD780 beta and 1053, while on the 1054 beta gives me problems. The only thing is that for every step it takes at least 4 seconds, and I think it is a limitation of the camera, because with continuous shooting can take every 2 seconds or less ... My mistake?

The only change in 1054 was fixing spelling errors in changlog.txt, so this is definitely not the cause of your problem.

You're right, I reinstalled from scratch and now works with the 1054. Thanks a lot :)

in the previous post I was wrong to write, actually I wanted to say this:
"The only thing Is that 'it takes at least 4 seconds to shoot, and I think it is not a limitation of my camera, cause with continuous shooting I Can Make shoots Every 2 seconds or less"

I have also the problem mentioned a couple of times in this thread (last by The_dark_master above).
I installed on both an A610 and an S3, CHDK is from mid march 2011 on both.

On starting carlapsev5 I get sleeping 1...2... then I image taken then camera hangs.

I didn't see any replies to the previous posts mentioning this. Anyone know why this happens?
