.Crw and lightroom

Hello!
I have a Canon PowerShot S2IS (Firmware version GM1.00F) with CHDK ( version 0.5.5-527).
I could get .crw shoots, and I need to process them with LightRoom.
I tried to opened them with LightRoom, but I got this error message
"The file appears to be not supported or damaged"

Is there any way I can open my .crw with lightroom? what can I do?

I have no problem to open them with Raw Therapee or Picasa, but I cannot open them with photoshop (Cs3, with Camera Raw 5.1.30 plugin). I also tried to convert them into .DNG with dng4ps, but I cannot open the files I got with photoshop.

Thanks so much in advance for any help.

Vale

see CHDK & RAW - a never ending story (Beginners read here please)

CHDK ".crw" files are not in the actual canon CRW format, they are just a dump of the sensor data. You need to convert them to some other format using one of the tools that understands CHDK crws. dcraw and ufraw are other options.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

Thanks, Reyalp, I already read it. The problem is that with Raw Therapee I could convert it only in JPG, tiff and png. I thougt tiff (16 bit) was the best option, but when I opened the tiff I got with lightroom, I didn't get any info like time, aperture and so.
So I thought .dng could be the best option, but couldn't open it with photoshop...

What would be the best option to work with lightroom? Is there any way to get a "suitable .crw" (or .raw)?

thanks again.

Vale,
convert your RAWS with DNG4PS-2 to the DNG format (lossless, optional with lossless compression), most apps (also Lightroom) works fine with the DNG standard format.

ok, thanks, I could open it with Lightroom. But still no exif info (under the Histogram I got 3 "-"). Is there anything I can do for this?

Thanks again.

did you convert the crw with the jpg in the same folder?  dng4ps copies the exif from the corresponding jpg. if there is no jpg, then the exif isnt filled.

Thanks! I think everything is OK, now!
