Strange... It works for me.
Are you referring to the shooting info shown at the bottom of the display during half-shoot?
Are you sure you're using the latest release (ALT menu -> Miscellaneous stuff -> Show build info should show "Jul 06 2011" for date and GCC 4.5.1 as compiler)?

What I can confirm not working is the USB-remote, it will be corrected soon.

New release (beta3) with some modifications. (based on svn rev. 1236)

- USB power sensing corrected (USB remote should work, tested with remote.bas)
(technical note: I threw away most of /platform/a410/kbd.c, /platform/generic/kbd.c is used instead, I see no change in "keyboard" handling)
- modemap filled with correct values

For finding the USB bit in mmio, I had to use a hacked version of gui_debug.c, the "normal" one can't really be used in the mmio area. I attached a patch, but I don't expect it to get into the official svn because it's not the proper way of fixing the memory browser's behaviour.

(the binary was made with this gui_debug.c mod, it shouldn't affect normal use)

About the patch: it was created with "kdesvn", I can't apply it cleanly, GNU patch gets confused somehow (I suspect mixed dos/unix line endings, it affects notes.txt).

Mod: patch moved to the request thread.

CHDK-DE appears to provide builds for this camera.

@mastodon: thanks again for the report

OK. The last version works well. Aperture: 2.8, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 and 5.1 was possible. (Maybe I've done something wrong with the former version.)

When will be this port in the autobuild version? The most used things seem to be OK. (saving raw, zooming during video, histogram)

New release: beta4

- movie time limit increased from 3 minutes to 1 hour in 320x240 and 640x480 modes (I have tested it in both modes, the produced files are correct)

Well, I think there should be some more testing (for example I've never tried the CHDK-PTP stuff, bracketing, not tested ISO override extensively, etc..) before nominating the port for official beta status.

Can you provide details on how you did this please?
It could be of use to other cameras.

Phil.

OK: movie time limit increased from 3 minutes. (I did not test, if one can take 1 hour)
Could be next the refocusing during video? :)

As I said earlier: that is a much bigger problem. I suspect, the original firmware was not designed to handle that situation. Neither AF-scan in video nor manual focus. See this porting topic for example (IXUS iZoom/SD30) : http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=2724.0 with a much more skilled person doing the port.

For the record: I posted the patch here: http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=650.msg71080#msg71080 and even created a new topic for it, so philmoz's request was not being ignored.

and you did a nice job with the posting - thanks.  Left me thinking about how to do the same thing with DryOS cameras ....
