damnit, i'm really waiting for the day that a camera is destroyed because of chdk. i mean, taking one for the team, it's all about that. oh, and for science. technically, it wouldnt have been chdks fault. but without chdk i guess the camera wouldnt have been there in the first place :D
nice pics!

We shoud put the cam in a Faraday cage for this, but after a 'strike' we also should have a defibrilator function in CHDK...

My first and only success with CHDK and Lightning also had a few close strikes. My A560 was set up on the covered porch of Grandma's house and pointing to the north. The first photo is the camera's view. The lightning strike that provided the light was behind the camera and not too far away judging from the shadows.

The lightning is overexposed in the second photo but it is interesting that the reflected lightning is not so overexposed.

Thanks to all CHDK for a lot of fun!
