I suppose you have to try adding an 'else'(without statement):
else
endif
Sorry - this dosn't help (I've tested).

I guess it's any IF-stack problem ....

so, do we have an actual implementation of this bugfix somewhere? i am not able to do it.
The bug is fixed.
I have done 3 times the test (pressing the shutter button quickly) and now
the raw files is saved.
Here's the patch for Ixus950 1.00c. It should be done and work the same for a bunch of other cams, at least I'm absolutely confident about Ixus70. But it requires a bit of disassembly, as you see. I lack the confidence to do it for other cams than mine.

G'day, I have a bug to report
s5is-101b-0.5.1-499-full
Script-MDFB-080716-DigicIII-MovieButtonModels
Can only capture video at the 320x60fps & 320x30fps
Capturing at both the 640s resolution the camera starts to record but then crashes at the end of recording, camera will start back up the normal way.(dont have to remove batteries)
Allbest builds work ok with the script but sometimes you have to make movement in front of lens to stop the video capturing,as with Jucifox build
I have changed all the MD settings around but makes no difference
Capturing stills work good
Good people-good site-learnt heaps,amazing stuff you fellas do here,Thanks

Raynox, it may be the video quality stuff changing the default to something your camera can't handle at 640. This is still a bug, but you might be able to work around it by reducing the quality in the video override menu.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

The CHDK video settings are not implemented in the S5 yet, that's why there's no video menu...

Is your SD card is too slow?

Or do you mean it only crashes when it's already trying to end recording? If that's the case, you could try adding more sleep to the script somewhere around where it ends video record.

The juciphox build does a lot of new things during video record, but I don't know if they are active during scripts?

G'day,
The SD card is allright,SDHC 4GB,I can capture at 640 without CHDK and also Allbest 51 build,it only crashes with the Juciphox builds.
I tried raising the timeout,(sleep?) bit by bit up to 100 but no luck.
It starts capturing fine, only crashes at the end of recording.

As I said earlier, juciphox is probably changing the default quality setting (which it shouldn't), which causes the video to be larger than your camera can write to disk. Go to 'video parameters' in the CHDK menu and lower 'video quality' until it stops cashing.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

Here's the patch for Ixus950 1.00c.
I trunk now (Changeset 502 - chdk - Trac), also for A640.
