Hi Guys

Sorry if this is a dumb question but i have been reading for 3 days and trying different help but still getting same problem.

I have a ISUX 960 and i have used Card Tricks to set up a SD card to auto load!

When it boots up i get a red screen not blue as the help page shows!!

Is this a fault ? Also what is the Alt key on this camera cannot see one!
The new additional CHDK blanks of my rear view screen so i cannot see the shot even when i go back to another SD card with no CDHK it has shut down my rear view screen i have to reset the camera to get it back.

I have formatted it made it bootable and loaded it and locked my SD card but do not know how to proceed as the red warning screen only lasts for a few seconds. I can see a menu but not sure my rear screen should black out.

Sounds like everything is fine... the red thingy that appears is the CHDK splash screen, so
CHDK loads OK.

Now all you need to know is how to get into the menu: for ixus cams use the 'direct print' button

PS since a lot of people prefer programming over manual/doc writing, these last are often outdated ...
     so it is generally not a good idea to assume any directions can be literally applied.

Kewl it looks like it loaded ok then. Can i ask a couple of questions not in the dummies guide.

Is it possible to get CRW file format to be read by Adobe Lightroom?? My LIgtroom says files corrupt but other users say they can load ????

Also can i use a Scandisk Extreme IV 4 GB to auto load CHDK?

1) answer is in FAQ (generally highly recommended read, link in my signature) specifically here:

2) Yes, as long as you make sure to format it with FAT16 - on windows use CardTricks (link also in sig)
    (this is also in the FAQ, BTW)
