Custom Menu Cropped to 6 Entries?

I just tried one of the later builds and find most of my custom menu features missing. Main Menu selection is now at the top (used to be at the bottom) and I can't input more than 6 items now. Is it going to stay this way? Or is this a bug that just happened? I really miss having all my favorites at hand. Could there be an option to select how many custom menu entries that you want to have? I wouldn't mind having a dozen or more, I use a small font. With as many new features as CHDK is getting it becomes increasingly difficult to navigate to my most used features.

Anyway, if this is a bug, please repair. :) If it's intended, I wish it wasn't.

Its not a bug, and actually i cant reproduce that behaviour on my cam. I'm using build #607, and i have 8 menu items in my user menu.

I also tried adding more, works like a charm. Adding too much items to fit on the screen makes the menu scrollable.

Move your cchdk.cfg from the CHDK/ folder on your sdcard, to see if that problem is related to your configuration file.

I'll bet that's exactly the problem. I recall having a menu entry after the last "new" menu left as a blank to separate two important sections. Is there anything I can edit in the ccchk.cfg file to repair that missing entry? I'd rather live with a crippled custom menu than having to reconfigure all my options again.

update:

Nevermind. I fixed it. I used that config editor thing. I found an entry in the list of 13 menu items that had a value of zero (0), and changed that to another number. Then when CHDK was running I removed that entry. Would be nice to have it recognize some kind of divider though, I liked seeing that blank entry for that. My eye could quickly find which set of custom options I needed to go into.

Thanks for pointing me to where to find the error.

CFGEDIT - An Editor for CHDK.CFG Files could help - but 'reconfiguring' could be done in less than 3 minutes  ???
