Optical temperature. In menu, goto OSD parameters -> Show temperature ? You have a choice between optical, ccd, battery and all

Thank you very much. Now I know what it is. But this raises another question Which is the maximum safe temperature for the CCD?

it is safe to assume that the camera will auto-shutdown when a certain temperature is reached.
