I am not sure if this has been addressed here before, but I find this feature usefull. Even if this feature is present at most of the compact cameras, it is not available on IXUS series (at least this one I know since I had a couple).

Hi byte0486,

most Ixus cameras can do this, but only in the 'Post card' resolution setting (1600x1200, adjustable then in the Canon menu)...

For CHDK this feature already exists, it's called timestamp - but it is not yet implemented in the official builds, maybe it becomes 'official' soon...

Hi fe50,

Thanks for the tip. I was not aware of this functionality. I'll check it tonight when back home. However, it still would be nice to have it at all resolutions. Now that the DNG support is done, maybe someone can add this feature back. I am pretty new on the forum and have no ideea how the software is built, tested, etc.

LE: Date (and time also, if desired) can be superimposed on 1600x1200 postcard format, on IXUS 960IS.
