It's my first time using CHDK on my newly acquired Canon G9 (from my father).
When I do video recording using any (Canon) settings, the quality of the video is messed up. The first few frames of the video are OK but the rest looks like it was filtered with Photoshop's Posterize effect and very blocky. Haven't touched any video settings in CHDK since there's no settings about video anyway. I've tried resetting my CHDK configuration but still the same.
The CHDK works good with still photos. I even tried running timelapse/motion detection scripts and works OK. I've tried video recording without CHDK loaded (set SD card to unlock position) and video recording is very fine. Must be a bug or something I'm doing wrong? It's troublesome for me to switch the SDHC card whenever I want to do video.
My G9 uses 1.00D firmware and I'm using CHDK 0.8.9 Build 625 for G9 1.00D. I'm using RIDATA 4GB SDHC Supreme Series for the memory card.
