Is it possible to remove/insert the ND filter from a Lua script? I didn't see a propcase for it...
I wish to make a script take in quick succession the same photo with and without the filter.

Try set_nd_filter(x) as documented on UBASIC/TutorialScratchpad - CHDK Wiki

Note that not all cameras have an ND filter, and not all of the ones that do are correctly supported by CHDK
Don't forget what the H stands for.

On my SD1100, I haven't been ablre to reliabley do that.
There is the command, and there is a property, but it does not always work.
if works if you set the nd filter and hoot straight away, but not if you do other things (such as sessing exposure time). The problem is, if you force the ND filter then you interfere with the camera's exposure calculations and then you HAVE to set exposure time.

I had to resort to taking the ND out ALWAYS via the CHDK "extra photo operations" menu.

And this is not what you are looking for.

BTW, everything here is VERY camera dependant.... What camera are you using?

I have an IXUS 70 (sd1000).
I did set the filter and shoot right away, and that worked perfectly for my purposes.
Basically all I am doing with it is experimenting with the filter's characteristics (ie. how it is not completely neutral), so setting exposure and things is not necessary (so far).

thanks.
