Could i change my firmware?

Hi all

I have a SD 550 ver 1.00H. As of now, there is no CHDK for that version of SD550. I was wondering, is it possible for me to change the firmware for my camera to 1.00F or 1.00G which is compatible with CHDK.

No.

But you should dump the firmware so someone can port it. It's extremely likely possible because f and g have already been ported.

It is also possible that the G CHDK will work on the H firmware. This is only true in a few percent of canon firmware changes, but may be worth a try.

someone already dumped the firmware. If i want to port CHDK myself, or contribute to the porting process. Where should i start?
