Thanks, I did it with jpegs. I haven't started messing with raw yet...now you are making me wonder how a single raw image would have done. I am going to try messing with DPHDR again and see if I can get an image to look like a simple combination of the underexposed sky and the properly exposed land. More like an old school combination of 2 negatives, masking, and exposing. The HDR's look cool but I want something that looks like it wasn't processed. The first HDR looks close...but the clouds look like they were painted on.
Has anyone else used DPHDR? Any suggestions?

I think I'm going to have to break down and get Photoshop. No matter what I try in DPHDR I can't get it the way I want. The sky, hills, and flat land all end up wanting different compensation.
