location of data files - SD870

Thanks for the great work and project,

When using a large sdcard with 2 partitions and the trunk build 640, my SD870 only uses the second partition for all data, including pictures.

Unless I'm missing a setting somewhere, the firmware stores everything on the second partition, including all data files such as curves, grids, books, and so on.  It would be better if that stuff was kept on the boot partition and only pictures were stored on the second partition.  This would ease picture management - I could wipe the picture partition easily without having to worry about losing any data settings.

Amazing work, guys.

Further to the above, I've discovered that the OSD for the space left on the sd card displays the second partition when using the numerical value (displayed at the top of the screen, by default).  This is great.

But, the bar that goes across the bottom of the screen displays the boot partition's size, which isn't useful since that partition doesn't change - nothing is written to it.

I figure that if a large sd card is being used with two partitions (boot and images), all space indicators should reflect the space left on the images partition.

Ah!  Thanks!  Newbie here!  :)

I hadn't used enough room for it to register on the bar - my impression was that I was seeing the 1/2 screen bar as a representation of my boot partition.  I didn't know that what I was seeing was the background for the bar.  haha.

Thanks!
