Hi all,

I was following the linux install for a >4gb chip and I obviously made a mistake.  Upon restarting my machine I've realized it can't restart because I've gone and rearranged a few digits here and there if not worse.  So Ubuntu is not booting but I was able to get the chdk to work on the camera...for a friend.  So does anyone by chance know how severe the damage is to my hdd by typing those few things found here: http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/Bootable_SD_card#Linux

Hi Erik,

just google "MBR Ubuntu" - if you  accidentally dd'ed your system partition with the commands
shown in there it should just need a new sector 0 (aka MBR). I don't run Linux myself, but
it appears all you need is the Ubuntu install disk.
