sd870/ixus 860 Dark Frame Subtraction broken?

So I don't know if it's just me being a nooblet, but has anyone else with an ixus 860 (or in my case, an ixy 910) noticed that the Dark Frame Subtraction settings don't get honoured at all? When I set Dark Frame Subtraction to Off, my camera still flashes up "busy" for however many seconds that the exposure was.

Is this a known issue, or am I just doing it wrong?

edit: using latest autobuild (27/12/08)

Hi Novex,

i can confirm this, the dark frame / noise reduction setting doesn't have any effect; i'll add this to the bugtracker...

Yep, I can also confirm this, the option has no effect on my SD870.

So, string:
Quote
static long *nrflag = (long*)0x9F90;

we can find in:

a720 (source)
and
ixus860 (probably correct address is 0xAAFC)
ixus80 (probably correct address is 0x8D14)

ixus860 (probably correct address is 0xAAFC)

0xAAFC for the SD870 100c is correct, works fine - thx  :D

Im going to hazard a guess that it was the only line in the wiki post I didnt understand - the one in german :P Who would have thought it to hold such valuable information! Chaotically awesome!
