Problem with Scripts on Powershot S5 IS

I am having trouble with the second "ult_intrvl.bas" script (UBASIC/Scripts: Ultra Intervalometer - CHDK Wiki) as well as the "Sunset4.bas" script (UBASIC/Scripts: Time lapse script variable shutter speed - CHDK Wiki).
My camera is the Powershot S5 IS. Using build version 0.9.0-658. FW version 101b

I have visited the IRC chatroom and talked with both Hacki and phox. I rewrote the script under Ultraedit because of lineendings. That did not fix the problem. They could not figure out the problem.

Onto my problem:
The second ult_intrvl.bas script has caused my camera to crash whenever I attempt to use it. It crashes after 15 or so seconds. An odd caution warning is found at script page:
caution:
The value returned by the get_tv command is not accurate unless the script is run while the cam's ModeDial is set to "M" (Manual). Reliance on that value renders useless the script shown below, as a general-purpose (any ModeDial setting) intervalometer. If you're on a PowerShot SD950 IS or similar compact camera with aperture (ND filter instead), the get_tv command will probably crash the script requiring a power-cycle. Use the original script above instead.
Does that mean that if i have an aperture, it won't work? Or is it something different?

Second problem:
the Sunset4.bas script give me a uBASIC:41 Parse err and does not run the script at all.

This is all the info i have at this time.
Thanks for the help!

That "uBasic:41 Parse err" means there's something wrong with line 41 of the script. Since the original Sunset4.bas has no such error, I think you must have introduced it when editing it.

You might like to try running your version using my UBDebug script debugger on your PC ( or Mac)  see An Interactive Development Environment for CHDK uBasic Scripts

**EDIT**
Nevermind about the sunset4 script. Apparently, there was something wrong with my end values.

Might I suggest you recommend Ultraedit for copy/pasting these values? It was notepad's fault that the script did not work.

Since UltraEdit is a commercial app: a very good Open Source editor is Notepad++, powerful & easy to use, with syntax highlighting, macros, plugins (e.g. text fx, hex editor...), block editor...
