posted the following in the german forum already (sorry, technically it is a doublepost :D)

they werent created using motion detection, but they would have been impossible without CHDK as well (pictures of fireworks, thats why i posted them here in this very thread).







most of the pictures in my flickr new years album were shot either in dng format (hello ewavr, wuv you  :-*) or during an actual video recording. in video, i used the relatively new feature that allows the usage of the internal flash, which i used to trigger my big external flash gun.

you can see the video footage here and here. The videos did come out very dark, which imo is either due to the low iso (80!) or because it was even too dark for the autoiso algorithm of the camera. anyhows, flash during video rocks. should have edited the video so that you see the resulting shots a little bit longer in the video (the way it is now, is how the original video looks like). some of the results can be seen in my flickr stream though.

What settins did you used with the MD script ? Did u set it to low sh speed and just left it to shoot alone ? ...I usually use my Canon A640's fireworks scene mode,which works pretty good for me.
