Well... it has Canon's startup code @ FFFF 0000 (cam jumps there at startup)

about the cam: i do most of my pics in the mountains... S series and DSLRs ( and, from experience, A630 BTW) are just too d@mn heavy to comfortably jump boulders with - in fact it's also insurance against (possibly) not having CHDK on 870IS
on my next climbing trip.  :lol

Now all firmware dumps on drop.io - chdkdumps  and drop.io - chdkdumps2 are zipped (with 7zip for small file sizes, www.7zip.org) each fw version in a single archive, including 'Strings.txt' (strings of the dump, extracted with BinText).

PS: You can also download the whole drops as a single zip archive from drop.io if you want...

Btw, a410 dump seems to extract to 

A410_100f/A410_100f/sub/100f/PRIMARY.BIN

when

A410_100f/sub/100f/PRIMARY.BIN

would make it similar to all others and

a410/sub/100f/PRIMARY.BIN

would be compatible with CHDK svn tree porting/dev tools.

@fudgey: Yes, fast zipped  ;)

Exchanged the zips, now all dumps from drop.io - chdkdumps  and drop.io - chdkdumps2 are zipped 'SVN compatible':

You can now unzip all archives from  \trunk\platform  with 'extract here' directly to the coresponding \<camera>\sub\<fw>\ folder.
The naming of the Ixus iZoom & Ixus Wireless dumps no fits also to the SVN naming...

Actually they still aren't quite correct if you extract them on a case sensitive filesystem. In CHDK source tree all platform names are lower case, except the W in ixusW_sd430 (which IMO should be renamed).

But anyhow, I wrote a bash script (attached, it works on my Ubuntu after 'apt-get install unzip p7zip-full') which extracts firmwares from 7z files inside the latest drop.io zip collections, fixes cases and moves the dumps to platform/ all in one command.
