reyalps dumpchk tool is able to fix dumps that show this behaviour - http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php/topic,2283.0.html (perhaps something like that can be implemented in cardtricks?)

@Ailurus fulgens

Then again, if it was dumped with CardTricks, it would not have had these FF's in the first place AFAIK  :D
Note that CT's 'Clean' was written to clean the 'virgin' end product of Udumper - it simply assumes that
the first word-aligned non zero bytes are the begin of the dump.
I'll think about putting an extra check in though ... as soon as i find the time  :D

i renamed the drop, now you can find it under http://drop.io/chdk_dev_stuff

i will add a few things there in the future, i plan on adding for each firmware the list of functions/adresses and strings.

now you can download a file containing names, strings & functions for EACH firmware that is supported in current trunk. might/will be useful to some...

as you may have noticed, these are unprocessed and contain lots of unneeded junk. feel free to run them through your linux tools and process them in a better way. if need be, i can upload it again then.

Hi

G9 100i Primary seems not to be complete by comparing with PS_G9.fi2 version = 100i.
Information only til 0x2A8000 after that only FF's should be til 0x330C00

cheers quietschi

sx10 101b, from scattered in http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php/topic,2468.msg28492.html#msg28492

http://www.zshare.net/download/5467436795c316fc/

edit:
As fe50 pointed out, the filename in this link says 100c. This is a mistake. The actual file dump is 101b.

i just added an archive that contains the following for EACH firmware that is supported in current trunk (as of writing this, rev 688):
names.txt - everything IDA can put a name to (+adress), here you can find for example the adresses for the temperature stuff and so on (beginners asm stuff :D)
strings.txt - all strings contained in a dump (interesting things to see there sometimes :D)
functions.txt - functions (and names, if IDA script could "decipher" them) of functions within the dump

these files can be used to a) find out what is "hidden" in these firmwares and b) for ASM beginners to try out some functions and adresses (you dont need IDA for this). these are NO disassemblies! For "real" disassembly, use IDA or the gpl tools (btw these strings and functions might help you with the GPL tools, ask Fudgey :D)

I've just posted a script that (among other things) takes these functions.txt files and spits out stub files and then includes them in disassemblies from Chr's GPL tools. I took the trouble to hide the script well in an old thread that has all the old discussion about those tools as well: ;)
