CHDK never changes your firmware, so it can not help you with this ... BUT:
Canon has issued a bugfix for this camera, read here:
http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/Official_Canon_firmware_updates- Be sure to read all the info about the update to see if it applies to your camera
- In your case i would contact Canon service
before applying the update: it gives you a good excuse to speak
to a Canon tech person (even if the update is not for your cam
) , who might be able to advise you about your language problem
