G7 Power up problems?

G7 Power up problems?

My powershot G7 stopped has stopped turning on, I've had CDHK installed on it for a few months -

I initially installed the wrong firmware version and my camera wouldn't turn on, I switched the SD card with a non CDHK card and it was fine again - having found the right firmware version it has worked well with CDHK until now. Have tried cleaning contacts, switching batteries, using CDHK and plain SD cards, still nothing happens when I press the power button... anyone got any ideas?

Would much appreciate help, thanks!

Sounds like a possible hardware defect. Read the manual on how to reset the camera, if that doesnt work, remove both batteries (Main batteries and the coin cell for the nvram / RTC) and wait a a day or two.

When the camera still doesnt give a life sign from it, it may be a case for canon repair.  :(

check also the 'door' switches of the SD card / battery bay...
You can also try whether the camera powers on when you connect it to USB power (unlikely, but woth a try)
