Update for A580, Now fully working!

NOTES:
Half Shutter + Left - Sets AFL
Half Shutter + Right - Toogle OSD on/off
Half Shutter + Up - Sets AEL
Half Shutter + Down - Toggle Histogram (Don't / Always / Shoot)
Half Shutter + Menu - Toggle Zebra on/off
Half Shutter + Display - Disable overrides

In Alt:
Display - Toogle RAW on/off
Up - Toogle MF

In ALT + Manual mode:
Display - Sets Infinity
Down - Sets Hyperfocal

Adjustable Alt button supported.

User menu works.
-------
Extra long exposure feature supported.

Firmware update from menu works! (With GCC compiler generated file YES, with fi2encdec generated filed NO!)

PLEASE TEST:
These Manual Focus adjustments can also be achieved with shortcut keys.
In <ALT> mode, using the LEFT / RIGHT keys to adjust the Value Factor and the Zoom lever to adjust the Subject Distance.

SDHC multi-partition boot and swap supported. (Tested with 2GB SD (2MB  FAT12 and FAT32 the rest), can someone test it with a larger card 8GB, 16GB...)

NOT WORKING:
Enable Fast EV Switch: activates ISO/Continous mode

I started blind port for a580 100c, source code is available here

Hello everyone.

I have got a camera A580 firmware 1.00C, I had hope it work with CHDK by firmware upgrade but there's not possible!.

I don't understand how to use the "porting for firmware" but if there is anything I can do with the cam then I will.

I have got the cam and I can do test with it. I wait for your indications...

I'm electronics technician.

(sorry but english is not my native languaje)

If you are the owner of an A580 we need your help improving the manual focus / subject distance override capability of CHDK.

Please read the instructions posted here < Link to Testing Instructions > and test your camera.
