zoom during movie mode?

I have an A620 and I'm looking for a firmware hack that will allow me to zoom during movie mode. Does anyone out there know of a build that allows for that?

Thanks

Thanks. There's no real documentation or information there but the script itself. I guess what you're saying is, the camera itself doesnt' zoom smoothy (I know this) and when zooming, the camera doesn't AF? I guess that makes sense, the camera doesn't expect the lens to be zooming.

Is there any way to get more info without loading this? I'm new to CHDK and have a bit of a learning curve.

Thanks

Can I half-press the shutter to force AF to happen? There appears to be some kind of trigger in the script for the half-press but it isn't clear what it is.

Thanks

Actually, I looked at the scripting language reference, there doesn't seem to be any function call to trigger an AF. There is a "focus to xxx mm" but not a "do an autofocus". :-(

But there is is_key? Would that work during movie record as well? I mean, map the left and right keys to decrement and increment focus distance and we'd at least have manual focus to fix what zooming has broken. Or has that been done already?

Could be done... but I dunno... it would certainly take the fun out of recording my kids. Too hard.

I think it would make more sense to pick up an S5 or S3 IS and use CHDK to add the RAW functionality. That'd probably make it the perfect point-and-shoot.
