My version of fbonomi's variable exposure timelapse script logs temperature, among other things.

If shut_down() command exists in lua (and why wouldn't it, I'm just too lazy to check for you right now), it's easy to shut down the camera after a comparison with the temperatures if you wish.

according to the other chdk in the straosphere thread (not fbonomis), the sensors minimum "resolution" is -20. search the forum, i think he put his cam in the freezer. (or did he said it in irc? dunno).

I am pretty sure the minimum temperature value we can get from the sensor on the Ixus 80 is -8 .

Look at the curve getting flat here:

well, ur right: Ixus70 operating temps
wasnt -20, was -10 :)
