I would like a script that will start recording video and turn off the LCD backlight to conserve battery, I want to try to record more then an hour of video but right now my battery can only get to 1 hour before it dies, I'm thinking with the LCD light off (another thread said this is possible in the newest version) during recording I would get more time. If someone writes the scripts I'll post the record time improvements I get with it.

Also where do I find documents on all the script commands so I can write my own at some point?

CHDK wikia: uBasic, uBasic Tutorial, uBasic Syntax (for uBasic scripting) and Lua for the new, powerfull Lua scripting language...
