Hi.
I written a tonemapper designed for processing single low-dinamic-range images and released it here:

http://zynaddsubfx.sourceforge.net/other/tonemapping/

The program is very good to process the original frames of the timelapse sequeces like in this example:

 - original (you might have seen this before)
vimeo.com/2917796[/vimeo]]http://www.Not a valid vimeo URL

 - processed with this program
vimeo.com/2917861[/vimeo]]http://www.Not a valid vimeo URL

You can see other examples here:
http://zynaddsubfx.sourceforge.net/other/tonemapping/examples/index.html

And you can download it here:
http://zynaddsubfx.sourceforge.net/other/tonemapping/download/

The program is available under Linux and Windows, and the full source code is released under GNU General Public License.

P.S. The documentation is not written yet, but I will write it as soon it's possible.

Paul

impressive and interesting..
the samples are much better than one would actually think for a LDR tonemapper.

Good idea. I think that it might be possible. But I would like to ask CHDK developers and, for this, I will make a topic about adding tonemapping into the CHDK. The whole tonemapping process can be done only with fixed-point, so that's why I think that it might be possible. Let see what CHDK developers think about this.

Hi paulgfx,
I like this software, it's easy and fast to use.
Hoping not to annoying you, I have some request:
1) add a way to save to save and recall presets
2) a button to reset the changes done to default settings
3) a scalable preview window, to make possible to see the whole image

almost forgoot, on my system the file browser image preview doen't work (doesn't show anything).

bye and thanks

Hoping not to annoying you, I have some request:
1) add a way to save to save and recall presets
2) a button to reset the changes done to default settings
This is already implemented in file menu. But I used the word "Parameters" instead of "Preset".

It would be very nice to see this program as a plugin for virtualdub.
As a workaround i have exported a bunch of bmp's, then used your programs on them and loaded them back.
Thank you very much for this cool program  8)

Hi.
I released a new version.
News:
 - file open preview
 - image zooming with mouse wheel

It would be very nice to see this program as a plugin for virtualdub.
As a workaround i have exported a bunch of bmp's, then used your programs on them and loaded them back.
For the workaround, you can use the batch function of the program.
Also, the tonampping functions can easily be included in others programs (as a plugin). You need only the "ToneMapping" directory from the source file ( ToneMapping*.h and ToneMapping*.cpp files).
