Saving bracketing settings

Hi,

Just discovered CHDK - wow!  An amazing piece of software, and incredibly useful.
I've got a question about saving settings.  It seems that some CHDK settings, but not all are saved on power-off.
In particular, if I change the settings for bracketing with continuous shooting (e.g. AV or TV step values), they are reset next time I power on.  Is there some way I can save these?

I'm using Autobuild version 0.9.3, on my G7, firmware 1.00i

Thanks

          -Matthew

uncheck "clear bracket values on start" ?
Don't forget what the H stands for.

Many thanks, that was it.  My display is not quite wide enough - it read "clear bracket values on star".  I wondered what it did!

Hi
same happens to me (A620)
CFGEDIT shows:
code page: Win1252
Menu RBF Font File = ''
Looks like default font to me.

If I select any other rbf font the menu seems to fit well with some smaller fonts but another problem occures, the code page aint loading correctly, the german 'Umlauts' are not shown (but with default rbf it worked ok)! There is no difference independently of the selected code page.
Do the rbf fonts have a fixed code page??

And now after fooling around with the fonts and code pages I can't go back to default font  :o
Starting CFGEDIT (card unlocked)  [CHDK Config File Editor (625)] first shows: Error - unknown entry id=19268
changing the font to default (''), press "update config", "Save As CFG ..." is still gray, I can only save as TXT...
and of course, reloading CCHDK.CFG from the card shows no difference.

Wonder where the bug hides (my head or the progs...), help is appreciated

PS: I know I have to delete the CCHDK.CFG and make a new setup as a work around... ;)

PS2: I deleted the CCHDK.CFG, made a new setup, tried the same as written above (thought it might be an old setup)
        but behavior is the same..

Yes, it's quite annoying that you can't revert to the built in font, language etc. without resetting your cfg.

Kalli or mcgd
Do you have symbols enabled ? Disabling them should give you slightly more space.
Is the entire menu running off the edge of the screen (so you can't see the checkbox) or is it just the text that's truncated ?

With symbols disabled I don't find truncated text in menus with default language and font. This may be different with wider fonts. But I guess this problem can't be solved, too many user-modifications can be done: change font, change language, or translate to your own language, with or without symbols etc. etc.
The more I think about it I belief it should be ok if the default font with build in language and symbols enabled will be not truncated. This would give some space for wider fonts (symbols disabled). It might be nice for translaters if they can find a hint in the language file how many characters would fit in a menu line (with symbols enabled to leave the users a chance to change to a wider font).

I don't remember I ever saw an overwritten checkbox, all what happens is a truncated line AFAIR.

Yup, this appears to be a bug when symbols are enabled, happens on my cam too. Some other menu items are affected as well.

Problem with truncated text is solved! Thanks a lot!
After picking more informations I build the .rbf font out of my german windows version using rbfeditor.exe.
Works like charme, all german umlauts shown correctly! Thanks a lot, again!

regards Kalli
