That's funny, I had actually just reported bracketing values being reset on start as a bug on the bug tracker, because I was confused by "Clear bracketing values on star" for precisely the same reason. My first thought was "what... my camera has a 'star' button?". Then I came here looking for something else and noticed this thread!
