Right I'm very new to this but looks like it would be something I'd like to get to use.  But the first problem I'm having is finding a straight forward answer, does chdk work with a canon 350d? I belive its firmware version 1.0.3 any help would be great, cheers!

No, CHDK does not work with Canon DSLR's - there's a dedicated subforum for it though ....
