overrides not working while using intervalometer script?

i wanted to shoot fireworks at 4s f11 and was using the intervalometer script to automate shooting.

i set the shutter and aperture overrides to 4s and f11 respectively, and ran the intervalometer script. but the overrides did not work.

any suggestions?

I had similar problem (shoting night sky in script with shutter speed override)
barberofcivil sugested me to use set_tv96_direct
