There have been a number of posts in different threads about camera repairs and modifications.
As an electrical/electronic servicing professional, I am not getting involved in a flame war with people who do not work in the industry.

I found the following link containing Canon Camera Service Manuals at a reputable electronics servicing site.
Please be aware that the site is a member only site. Some of the manuals are free others are paid for.

I have not used the site. If anyone is hesitant about using the site they can post a query at the following electronics servicing forum:

hm, for my cameras i was only able to spot part catalogues. did you find an in-depth repair guide for any of your cams?

I've got a one month account on free-service-manuals.com so if someone wants something from there just let me know.

I took some powershot stuff and can upload them but there's not much info in them

None of those are on free-service-manuals.com... i'm trying to get nx6300 though i doubt you'll need it and that i'll be able to get it.

the guy with this site I think it hosts the files from his home computer as they all come at 15-30KB/s and the connection closes after about 5minutes no matter if downloads are complete or not
