ewavr, BTW, any chances about limiting ISO in movie mode (question I asked several days ago in feature request section) ?

Mmm, chance about limiting auto ISO in movie mode is very small  :(. It is possible to set ISO manually (similar to exposure time), but only if auto-exposure is turnad off.

Well keep me posted on this thread when the new color matrix hits CHDK and I'll be happy to try some more experiments.

From DNG4PS2 or from A650? Matrix from DNG4PS2 already in CHDK, you can download latest version.

ewavr, thanks for answering about Auto ISO limit in movie mode. It would be great to have this, but ...  :(

Zosx, try new version on some new pictures and report the result

If you are familiar with command prompt on the PC, you can also check my post "A620 beta 1 profiles" --> http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php/topic,2188.0.html , download attached file and get last versio of DngSetMatrix. Then, you can try changing a matrix in your dngs to the one I have for A650, with a following command

DngSetMatrix  <dng_filename>  P  0.670 0.283 0.725  0.225 1.000 1.000  0.077 -0.184 -0.366

... and see the results (make a backup of original dng before that). As this isn't a matrix for this sensor, it won't be spot on, but maybe it would be better than existing one, at least it was in my "experiment" with a dng you attached. Report the results

Ok. About trying a different color matrix, you can change a matrix of existing dngs, without taking new photos, and see the results. It doesn't matter how those dngs were made (CHDK new version, old version, anything like that). Only thing that this DngSetMatrix does is changing of appropriate exif tag in a dng file

Ok. I didn't know if the matrix was meta data or not. I took some test pictures today and the colors were a lot better, though not 100% I don't think. Everything looks a bit yellow I'm afraid. Am I to assume that the matrix values are just three values one for RGB each? If that's the case it wouldn't be that hard to dial it in to perfection..... I'll add my results. Note that the first two show the jpeg for comparison. The last shows how picasa and photshop duke it out colorwise. Sorry about the night exposures. Didn't have much time during the day today. I sure wish the chair I had the camera on was not moving in the wind when I took that downtown shot! (Note to self, buy another tripod)
