i'm not sure if this was brought up before but, is it possible to make timelapse pictures (for example 1 sec. delay) so that they'll download directly to PC via usb cable? as far as i remember, there are some limitations for using camera with PC AND CHDK.

In principle, a script command could switch to playback mode and WIA-Loader (SDM version) could upload the images to a folder and then delete them on the camera.
After a sufficient interval, you would switch back to record mode.

Obviously, you cannot do that with short-interval shooting.

hmmm, yes, and doing so after each shot in intervals of one second is also stupid thing ;)

There are some wifi cards out there but I'm also interested in this file transfer method. You could use this for security...    The wifi cards are being tested and I hear they need baby sitting. They stop working after a bit.

Some pretty experimental stuff I did a while back:

Maybe is even possible (for cameras with mechanical record-playback switch) to leave PTP working connection in record mode (this works on a710, ixus700).

I did that in the thread in the first link... I believe it's not quite as good as what you achieved on a710 before since PB2Rec() screws some things up a bit, but PTP list/download worked fine in REC mode, while running a script, even during long exposures and burst mode shoot.
