It gives me an error message stating that an attempted function is nil even though it has executed the same function several times already. Apologies for my awkward description but i've never come across a problem like this in my days of programming.
This is not a likely result of running out of memory.  Sounds more like something clobbering the functions, or an incorrect use of function environments.

I've made progress isolating the problem.  i can take 200+ pics without memory problems. now i need to slowly re-enable features in my script.
