Hi All,

I am trying to get Cardtricks.exe to run. After downloading the exe and dll I am attempting to run the exe. It immidiately shows the drive selection dialog. After selecting the drive the dialog disappears for a split second and comes back up. There is no way to get past this.

Any ideas?

Don't know where you got your copy, but last time i looked there was no .dll in it ....

As of v. 1.44. CardTricks uses 7-zip selfinstaller, after starting CardTricks-144-SFX.exe, you will be presented with a dialog
box: just browse to or type the directory where you want the program, and it will unpack it's files there.
Then start CardTricks-1.44.exe and everything should work ...

Note that this way of installing means that you can't just move CardTricks-144.exe anymore without making sure you
also copy the "CardTricks" directory to the same location - which stinks, i admit, but not as much as answering mails about
false virus warnings ...

just to know if any modified versions are distributed (which is OK, as long as GPL is respected)

Hi Whim,

I followed the steps from your previous post and unzipped the files to my desktop, so now the CardTricks-144-SFX.exe and the folder it created 'Card Tricks' are on my desktop.

How can i get the program to run now? I tried re-opening the exe file, but it just keeps unzipping the contents. I have also tried opening the exe files in the folder but nothing brings up the screens shown on wiki.

any suggestions??

I got it work...didn't see the new exe file created.... ;)
