so we should provoke canon to send those letters to you, which in turn creates an uproar from the community - epic win for us, as CHDK finally gets the attention it deserves and canon loses big time. or better: canon also wins, coz people would buy the hell out of the compact canon cams ^^

Canon wins a lot with CHDK, I have no doubt about. Not directly, but it does.

Take my example for example, I really wanted a lumix-dc3 but I won't buy one because of not having chdk...

Canon wins from CHDK with me.

Two family members have Canons due to me.

I have told at least 10 friends and said publically to others that I like Canon cameras, and specifically that I like their Optical Image Stabilisation (which makes a big difference to the quality of many shots).
